Step Two: Response Is Matched to the Situation

Not every spill requires the same level of response, so AEG Environmental tailors its emergency services to the size and complexity of the incident. The company generally organizes its response into three levels:

• Product Assistance: Best suited to a small or medium spill at a fixed facility where trained on-site employees already have the situation controlled or contained but need additional supplies or equipment. A single call brings a hazardous materials technician to deliver what’s needed to finish the cleanup.
• Limited Response: AEG Incident Commanders and hazardous materials technicians work directly alongside a client’s own employees, guiding them through the cleanup while AEG assumes command of the scene.
• Full Response: A complete hazmat emergency response team is deployed, and AEG takes full command of the incident from start to finish. This option is ideal for clients who prefer their own personnel not be involved in the physical cleanup.

This tiered approach means clients aren’t paying for more than they need, but they also aren’t left without adequate support when a situation calls for a full-scale response.

Step Three: Trained Experts Take Control

Once a response is underway, AEG’s team, which includes hazardous materials technicians, chemists, and certified hazardous materials managers, works to identify the substances involved, contain the spill, and prevent it from spreading further. This can include chemical spills, oil spills, mercury contamination, and even biological materials, each of which requires its own handling procedures and protective equipment.
